ONE DAY OF FIGHT

It washed us away,
We have to sail away,
Those who could not run away,
Have drown and gone away.

We saw the river away,
The ocean was far off,
We saw them to our advantage,
Not knowing that they can fight use.

Our farmland washed away,
Our family dispersed,
Our livestock missing,
We have to build afresh.

We were not packed somewhere,
Now as refugees somewhere,
Waiting for our homes to be free,
For us to inhabit once more.

We now see that we have no control,
Over nature,
Nature could relax,
One day of fight last a lifetime.
